**Position overview:**
The Product & Tooling Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting regional product engineering and tooling initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role focuses on the introduction of new aluminum products, lightweighting programs, and tooling-related capital projects while providing technical expertise in high-speed metal forming processes. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, toolroom, and supplier partners, the position drives product performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across production facilities.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Support and manage capital projects related to new product introductions in existing facilities and new plant builds, including cost estimation, product specifications, tooling requirements, and project execution.
+ Lead lightweighting initiatives for existing aluminum containers by evaluating product designs, developing tooling specifications, coordinating procurement activities, and tracking project deliverables.
+ Assess the feasibility, cost, and business benefits of new product developments and product optimization opportunities to support strategic planning activities.
+ Provide technical support for aluminum product performance, process capability, tooling functionality, and manufacturing operations through on-site and remote troubleshooting.
+ Analyze product and process data using statistical methods and quality tools, including SPC, Six Sigma methodologies, and Minitab, to identify trends, drive improvements, and resolve technical issues.
+ Conduct product testing and validation activities using in-process and finished goods measurement systems to ensure compliance with quality and performance specifications.
+ Partner with operational teams to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, material utilization, and overall operating performance through process and tooling enhancements.
+ Support toolroom standardization and continuous improvement initiatives by developing best practices, conducting audits, and implementing corrective action plans.
+ Drive supplier quality and performance improvements through tooling inspections, supplier audits, and ongoing supplier quality management activities.
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and operating procedures to support global tooling and product engineering best practices.
+ Maintain and enhance engineering development databases, systems, and related documentation.
+ Travel to manufacturing facilities as required to provide hands-on technical support, project implementation, and troubleshooting assistance.
**What are we looking for?**
+ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design, CAD, manufacturing, or a related engineering environment.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience managing engineering or manufacturing-related projects.
+ Experience supporting manufacturing processes, tooling systems, product development, or capital equipment projects.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
+ Demonstrated ability to scope projects, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver project objectives.
+ Working knowledge of materials engineering, manufacturing processes, and metal forming operations.
+ Understanding of tooling design principles, technical drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) management.

**Tus responsabilidades incluyen:**
+ Operar y supervisar la maquina asignada segn los estndares de calidad y seguridad.
+ Realizar inspecciones visuales y mediciones para garantizar la calidad del producto.

**Qu buscamos?**
+ Al menos 2 aos de experiencia previa en entornos industriales
+ Formacin tcnica o profesional en Produccin, Mecnica, Electrnica o reas relacionadas.
+ Conocimiento bsico de mantenimiento de maquinaria industrial.
+ Familiaridad con herramientas informticas bsicas (como sistemas de control de produccin).
+ Atencin al detalle, responsabilidad y compromiso con la seguridad.

**Actualmente la planta de produccin trabaja con un sistema de 4 turno en jornadas de 12 horas. Durante la entrevista te mostrarn cuales son las secuencias de trabajo, en las que se trabaja 3 o 4 das a la semana y tambin te mostrarn los periodos de vacaciones. Pero es muy importante que tengas presente que debers trabajar dos fines de semana al mes y tambin el 50% del tiempo en turno de noche (18:00 06:00).**

**Position Overview:**
As the Capital Equipment & Process Standards Director, you are a leader on the Global Engineering team, reporting to the Vice President of Global Engineering. You will contribute to the success of Ball by establishing industry-leading practices across Balls manufacturing facilities.
In this role you will create and deploy standards for the operation of can making equipment, the parts and materials used in can making, as well as processes used to plan and execute capital projects.
As the strategic leader of this group, you will drive the vision of leveraging scale across Balls global footprint in pursuit of operational excellence.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Technical Standards: including managing global subject matter experts with responsibility for creating and deploying process documentation for all can-making technology, direct materials (coatings), utility, power, civil construction and wastewater systems
+ Establish standards for design, installation, startup and utilization of can lines
+ Responsible for coordinating standard plant design with project values ranging from $200 Million (M) to $400M
+ Set standards for capital budgeting and control
+ Lead the governance and processes to ensure accurate cost estimation and budgetary control
+ Coordinate the preparation of annual capital budget for general operations globally (>$150M)
+ Track and report on this project portfolio throughout the year
+ Collaborate and work closely with Capital Procurement and key suppliers of major capital equipment and services to review standard equipment specifications and enforce OEM change control
+ Oversee the system for trials and workflows that assess operational readiness of process innovations; this requires close coordination with suppliers, operations and Ball Operational Excellence organization.
+ Responsible for creation of global specifications, technical standards and change management strategy for direct materials such as inside lacquers, inks and varnishes, executing the strategy from supply through application
+ Technical licensee support: Manage communications, information flows and the financial reconciliation
+ Direct the provision of engineering and technical support to the regional and joint venture engineering teams
+ Collaborate with Operational Excellence teams to evaluate good and best practices with responsibility of adopting and deploying as global standards
**What are we looking for:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master degree (such as MBA) is preferred
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering leadership, particularly in establishing best practices for industrial processes
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience managing technology in a global manufacturing environment (preferrably in beverage can manufacturing)
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience generating business cases/ROI, performing technology selection and vendor management
+ Working knowledge of: purchasing, legal contracts, licenses, accounting, economics, depreciation, capitalization, accruals, ISO, auditing (internal and external), insurance, and contract negotiations

+ Proven capability in equipment setup, troubleshooting and optimisation, with solid understanding of chemical properties, reactions, handling, storage and disposal
+ Ability to train and transfer process knowledge to others (Train-the-Trainer certification is an advantage)
+ Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in computer tools for data analysis and reporting
+ Experience with line launches or rebuild projects is an advantage

**RAZN FUNDAMENTAL DEL PUESTO DE TRABAJO:**
+ El principal objetivo del puesto es garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de los sistemas informticos y de telecomunicacin, desde el punto de vista tanto del hardware como del software, solucionando incidencias y ayudando a los usuarios con problemas tcnicos.
+ Se trata de un puesto de soporte operacional que requiere una slida comprensin de la empresa y el impacto de las incidencias en los trabajadores y su capacidad para realizar sus funciones.
**RESPONSABILIDADES:**
+ Cumplir con las solicitudes de servicio en el marco de la herramienta de soporte tcnico informtico para poder priorizar la carga de trabajo dentro del rea de responsabilidad respectiva. La correcta actualizacin de los tickets y el enlace proactivo con los analistas de ServiceDesk tambin son cruciales para el xito de este rol.
+ Comprender el proceso de gestin de incidencias y garantizar que este proceso junto con los estndares y procedimientos tcnicos e informticos se cumplan dentro del rea de soporte para minimizar el impacto de las incidencias en el desarrollo del trabajo de la empresa.
**ACTIVIDADES:**
+ Comunicar el estado de las incidencias y de las solicitudes de servicio a la comunidad de usuarios, a fin de que se produzca un resultado positivo en los resultados de las encuestas NPS. Conocer la puntuacin local de las encuestas NPS para tomar parte en las iniciativas de mejora del servicio.
+ Garantizar el traspaso de las solicitudes de asistencia al grupo de resolucin pertinente de manera oportuna para no afectar a los acuerdos de nivel de servicio (SLAs).
+ Proporcionar soporte informtico de 1 y 2 lnea monitorizando activamente la carga de trabajo de soporte tcnico informtico para las ubicaciones respectivas y la regin, y priorizar la ejecucin de tareas, asegurando un servicio efectivo para el negocio de forma remota o en el escritorio.
+ Garantizar que se cumplan los estndares y polticas de la empresa al realizar las tareas del puesto.
+ Promover el uso de las herramientas de autoservicio donde estn disponibles.
+ Participar en el turno de guardia regional para los cortes de alta prioridad fuera del horario habitual de trabajo.
+ Ser partcipe en la integracin y enlace del equipo con la funcin general de Soporte Global de Asistencia Tcnica e Informtica.
+ Proponer ideas sobre medidas de mejora continua para la funcin de soporte, incluyendo CSFs, KPIs y baremos asociados.
+ Diagnstico y reparacin de PCs, as como implantaciones.
+ Instalacin y mantenimiento de impresoras, y de dispositivos perifricos.
+ Actualizacin de puntos de red y telefnicos.
+ Instalacin de software a travs de implantacin de medios software.
+ Configuracin y extensin de puntos LAN (con el asesoramiento y la aprobacin del Equipo de Comunicaciones Globales).
+ Asistencia de primera lnea en el soporte de los sistemas de planta (ejemplos: SFOL, SAP, Viscan).
+ Asistencia en los sistemas de nmina, control de presencia, control de accesos, PABX y programacin o soporte asociado. Equipos de videoconferencia.
+ Correcto tratamiento de los residuos generados (por ejemplo: separacin de papel/cartn del plstico).
+ Seguir pautas generales de disminucin de consumos (por ejemplo: apagar interruptores, no dejar los grifos abiertos, conduccin eficiente, etc.).
+ Comunicacin de las deficiencias en seguridad y salud detectadas
+ Conocer y cumplir el Plan de Prevencin de Riesgos Laborales y Evaluacin Riesgos del ao en curso (llevando los EPIs determinados, etc.).
**INTER-RELACIONES/INTER-COMUNICACIONES:**
+ Todos los departamentos de la planta.
+ Global IT Service.
**COMPETENCIAS/ CONOCIMIENTOS BSICOS:**
+ Imprescindible Grado en Informtica o similar.
+ Experiencia mnima de 4 aos en puesto similar, en un entorno de operaciones global.
+ Recomendable conocimiento de ITIL (Biblioteca de Infraestructura de Tecnologas de Informacin).
+ Conocimientos de MS Office y Outlook.
+ Orientacin a resultados.
+ Excelentes habilidades de comunicacin para adaptarse a interlocutores no expertos.
+ Fuertes habilidades interpersonales.
+ Responsabilidad, independencia y autonoma.

Entorno de trabajo: Este puesto requiere presencia completa en la Planta.
Rango de contratacin: 40,500 58,000 EUR brutos por ao. El salario final se determinar en funcin de la educacin, experiencia, conocimientos, habilidades y capacidades del candidatode la persona candidata, as como de la equidad interna y los puntos de referencia del mercado. Dependiendo de estos factores, la oferta real puede situarse por encima o por debajo del rango publicado.
