At Kyndryl, we run and reimagine the mission-critical technology systems that drive advantage for the world's leading businesses. We are at the heart of progress; with proven expertise and a continuous flow of AI-powered insight, enabling smarter decisions, faster innovation, and a lasting competitive edge. For our people-Kyndryls-that means doing purposeful work that powers human progress. Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.
**The Role**
**Kyndryl Technical Project Managers** oversee the delivery of major infrastructure and cloud programs, unblocking teams at the technical level and ensuring the solution is robust, secure, observable, and scalable. You'll orchestrate multi-practice teams (Cloud, Automation/Data & AI, Networking, Security, Digital Workplace, Core Infra/Mainframe) to deliver measurable business value.
You will still excel at plan/build/run cadence and financial stewardship-but your differentiation is your ability to dive deep with architects and engineers, challenge designs, understand failure modes, and turn complex technical risks into executable mitigation plans.
**What you'll do**
· Own end-to-end technical delivery: plan, execute, and control scope, budget, schedule, and quality across complex programs and workstreams.
· Drive architecture & design alignment: lead or participate in HLD/LLD reviews, design authorities, ADRs, threat modeling, and readiness checks; ensure designs follow best practices (e.g., AWS Well-Architected, Azure CAF, Google Architecture Framework).
· Manage non-functional requirements: define and track SLAs/SLOs/SLIs, capacity/performance, resilience, backup/DR, observability, and security-by-design controls.
· Guide technical execution: coordinate epics/stories with engineering (Agile/Scrum/SAFe), manage environments and release plans (CI/CD), and ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation are used where practical.
· Mitigate technical risk early: run dependency mapping, failure scenario analysis, test strategy (unit/integration, performance, chaos where applicable), and cutover/backout planning.
· Operationalize delivery: ensure runbooks, KBs, and handover-to-operations (ITIL/ITSM) are complete; stand up monitoring/alerting dashboards and SRE practices for steady-state.
· Assure security & compliance: coordinate IAM, network segmentation/zero trust, vulnerability & patch processes, data protection, and policy adherence (e.g., NIST/ISO 27001).
· Manage stakeholders & vendors: lead customer-facing technical forums, change control (CAB), partner/supplier deliverables, and executive-ready reporting that links technical progress to business outcomes.
· Optimize cost & performance: partner with FinOps to track cloud spend, right-size resources, and recommend architectural optimizations.
· Uplift the team: ensure the right skills are on the field; mentor junior PMs and engineers in delivery best practices and technical excellence.
**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
· Mandatory certifications:
o PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
· Technical PM experience delivering complex infrastructure/cloud/security/networking/DWP/mainframe projects at scale.
· Ability to read, challenge, and communicate architecture and design (HLD/LLD), sequence/data flows, and infra topologies; comfortable facilitating design authorities.
· Proven use of Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) with enterprise governance (RAID, change control, financials).
· Practical understanding of IaC, CI/CD, and observability (e.g., Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions/Jenkins, Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog/Splunk/Dynatrace/AppDynamics).
· Strong grounding in security-by-design and compliance, with the ability to translate requirements into concrete delivery tasks.
· Customer-facing leadership with excellent communication, negotiation, and executive storytelling skills in English.
**Preferred Qualifications**
· Hands-on depth in some of the Kyndryl technical domains: Cloud, ADAI, Networking, Security, Digital Workplace, Core Infra/Mainframe); breadth across two or more is a plus.
· Experience with cloud migrations/modernization, container platforms, and platform SRE/operations.
· Familiarity with FinOps practices and cost/perf optimization in hyperscalers.
· ITIL Foundation; Agile certifications (Scrum/SAFe) are a plus.
