**Job Purpose and Impact**
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, safety, and process safety management systems within the Animal Nutrition business in Spain. The role serves as a subject matter resource on EHS matters, promoting safe, compliant, and sustainable operational practices. Working in partnership with site leadership and stakeholders, the EHS Specialist helps ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, programs, standards, and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Act as the legal representative for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) matters for the Animal Nutrition business in Spain, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and supporting interactions with relevant authorities.
+ Support the Plant Manager in maintaining effective relationships with local communities, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders, contributing to a positive organizational reputation.
+ Support the implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and assist in monitoring, testing, and evaluating EHS performance.
+ Collaborate with regional and country EHS teams to support site impact assessments and the management of operating and construction permits.
+ Support the development, adaptation, and delivery of EHS training programs in alignment with global, regional, and local requirements; conduct training needs assessments and tailor content to site-specific requirements.
+ Travel quarterly to the laboratory in Madrid to assess EHS-related requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation of corrective actions.
+ Visit external warehouse locations biannually to evaluate EHS compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and monitor implementation of agreed actions.
+ Coordinate occupational health surveillance activities in collaboration with the appointed occupational health professional.
+ Organize, participate in, and document EHS and safety-related meetings.
+ Conduct internal EHS audits, including audits at other company locations as required.
+ Collaborate with site leadership and relevant stakeholders to support workplace risk assessment activities.
+ Support the Plant Manager in obtaining and maintaining required operating permits in coordination with relevant authorities.
+ Prepare and submit documentation and reports required under applicable permits and regulatory requirements.
+ Support site operations during inspections conducted by regulatory authorities.
+ Adapt and implement company and regulatory EHS processes, programs, and controls at site level, ensuring integration into operational procedures, work instructions, and tools while promoting continuous improvement.

They are the first line contact for the field service engineers as they manage day to day EHS issues in service work, and the tasks are related to training, inspections, customer interaction around planning and job.

+ To interpret Laws, Regulations and Procedures, considering all relevant local / national EHS standards in the organization
+ This role is part of "Servicio de Prevención Mancomunado" for GE Wind Energy, S.L. / GE Renovables España, S.L. in Spain. It applies to Fixed Facilities, Project & Service operations and Office.
+ Prepare EHS Documentation for products and processes if needed and review any other documents prepared by other areas to provide EHS assessment.
+ Ensure customer EHS requirements are being properly followed to guarantee the access of GE Vernova employees and contractors to the customer site.
+ Update, support, develop and implement site procedures and develop updates when needed according to GE Vernova management system processes and procedures and local regulation.
+ Regularly review the sites Emergency Plan, ensuring all required materials and equipment is in place, where required it is tested, and the persons required to use it are trained.

+ Regular scheduled Audit activities: Simplified Work Plan, Legal and GE documentation compliance for GE Vernova and contractors, Site inspections within own scope and other regions and countries.

+ Manage the retention of the EHS required documentation in the Site EHS files.
+ Oversee the management of PPE for GE Vernova staff and visitors.
+ Perform Simplified Work Plan audits, reporting and registering following the region audit plan
+ Support contractor mobilization and MCE / Blades teams on the wind farms of region ensuring that requirements are up to date and supporting services organization when required.
+ Ensure that any compliance GE Vernova applications like Gensuite, Comply Works and SGS are fully implemented and in compliance with customer and GE Vernova requirements and local regulations

+ Conduct EHS trainings and awareness sessions to all personnel in the assigned areas, adapting terminology and language as necessary to ensure proper learning and knowledge transfer.
+ Ensure periodical EHS meetings are held in all levels to involve the organization and , facilitating the preparation and formally recording information, supporting and facilitating the preparation.
+ Identify best management practices that may be of use to other sites and communicate these to the EHS and service team.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ **Technical background in electricity, mechanical, etc.**
+ **Locally Professional master's degree EHS (Técnico Superior PRL with 3 technical qualifications in Ergonomic, Industrial Hygiene and Safety at Work).**
+ Physical condition and fitness to climb a wind turbine.
+ Good knowledge and understanding of local and other region rules/regulations framework, interactions between authorities.
+ Good knowledge of Microsoft office, web-based tools.
+ Technical Expert level in technical EHS specific knowledge.
+ Technical skills: Skilled level in EHS Risk Assessment, EHS Guidelines and Processes, EHS Audits and Assessments, Regulatory Compliance, Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis and EHS Management System; Process development and optimization, continuous improvement and lean, awareness level in Security and Crisis Management.
+ Soft Skills: Skilled level in Influence and communication, resilience and change management, performance, resources and conflict management, Employee relations and team engagement, vision and goals setting and analytical problem solving.
+ Language: Fluent English skills, Spanish.
+ Experience: 5 years of experience in wind field operations and/or EHS, ideally in wind business

**Job Summary:**
The Site EHS Specialist I is a key member of our EHS Team and a critical partner for our operational site teams at planning, project execution and post outage review stage. The Field EHS Specialist I is responsible for supporting with the creation and execution of a comprehensive EHS plan on our operational site, that drives the best-in-class standards of EHS and sustainability.
The objective of this role is to observe, advise, coach and support those with operational responsibilities during planning phase and on-site execution, to prevent injuries, help drive accountability and remain in compliance with company/client EHS policies, programs, and procedures alongside country legislative standards.
The field EHS team are central to the adoption, communication, and implementation of injury preventative EHS initiatives and campaigns to reiterate our NO HARM culture.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with the operational team in all matters related to EHS Planning, On Site Execution and Outage Close out for lower complexity outage scopes / customer sites or in support to a Senior EHS Specialist in a high complexity scope / customer site, as assigned by your Resource Manager depending on work demand, competency, and availability
+ **Outage Planning - Remove and mitigate Risk Pre-Deployment**
+ Contribute to outage planning and Outage Readiness Reviews (ORR). Clearly communicating the EHS needs with the project team and manage all compliance activities, including the implementation of in-country legislation and Gas Power OFS EHS programs
+ Consult with Service Manager, Lead Field Engineer, Outage Manager and Customer on any potential workplace and task-specific hazards (and the control of such hazards) such as Asbestos, Lead, Arsenic, and Hexavalent Chrome, which may impact the work scope
+ Facilitate site walkdowns to ensure strong planning that includes access/egress/laydown areas
+ Ensure medical preparedness and that facilities are readily available for all employees. Ensure that records are properly maintained
+ **Mobilization Phase**
+ Develop and maintain the One Field Services (OFS) EHS Plan, including current Risk Management tools (such as Outage Risk Profile) for each outage in collaboration with the Service Manager and/or Outage Manager. Provide support to communicate and manage all sections of the plan
+ Establish and monitor adherence to workers work-rest cycle (rest and recovery plan) schedule
+ Manage required compliance activities, including the implementation of in-country legislation and OFS current EHS programs
+ Confirm submission of all required site documents prior to outage team arrival
+ Deliver relevant project specific EHS training, including site induction/orientation training for craft and field crew as well as visitors to ensure that all personnel are informed of site safe working procedures, customer requirements, and practices to fulfill their responsibilities. Ensure records of attendance are maintained
+ Complete the security plan (non-US group I & II country safety plans) and verify with Security Team
+ **On Site Execution**
+ Drive the implementation of OFS EHS Plan, standards, and procedures at site
+ Observe and monitor progress of work to coach and advise our on-site teams to ensure:
+ The correct Field Procedures are being used
+ Identification of hazardous work practices and hazardous conditions associated with tasks - to proactively coach teams when there are gaps in risk control
+ Meaningful hazard prevention and control conversation are held and facilitated by point of work risk assessment tools (such as Task Risk Assessments)
+ Continually coach and reinforce the need of peer checks on site to prevent human error and injury
+ Host "Tool Box" talks, safety meetings, orientations, and training ensuring the team understands the hazards associated with the scope of work and maintain the relevant records
+ Stop Work when conditions of work practices are unsafe and coach all team members to do the same. Contribute to safe solutions to resume work
+ Review customers permit systems, including requirements for site posting of permits, LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space procedures, and One Field Services Lift Plans
+ Under the direction of EHS Managers, support incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of incidents or near miss, including compilation and completion of any necessary documentation (photos, interviews, witness statements, etc.)

**Required Qualifications & Experience** :

**What you will do**
In this role, the Clinical Scientist Associate Director supports the design, execution, and oversight of clinical trials and other late-phase global clinical studies. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support endpoint strategy, event adjudication processes, and safety monitoring.
+ Participate in development and oversight of endpoint adjudication charters, safety monitoring plans, and Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) interactions.
+ Provide clinical input into data management plans, CRF design, and clinical data review, with focus on key study endpoints, efficacy and safety outcomes, and/or imaging or biomarker endpoints, as applicable.
+ Conduct ongoing clinical data review and signal detection, supporting identification and resolution of safety and data quality issues across global trial sites.

+ Assist Development Lead and Clinical Scientist Director with medical monitoring activities and oversight of CROs, vendors, and adjudication committees.

+ Contribute to clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Identify operational or scientific risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies across cross-functional teams.
