Description
Do you want to build the systems that keep millions of packages moving on time across Amazon's transportation network? We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to help us design, build, and operate the production infrastructure behind a system that tells fulfillment centers and trucks exactly how fast packages should flow - every hour, across thousands of routes.
In this role, you will own software that processes dozens of complex inputs, transforms them into reliable signals, and delivers them to systems that make real-time decisions about when packages ship, when trucks depart, and how capacity is allocated across the network. You will write production-quality code in Python, design event-driven architectures on AWS, build automated quality validation frameworks, and solve distributed systems challenges that directly impact operational performance at Amazon scale.
What makes this role compelling is the combination of complexity and impact. You are not building something theoretical - you are building software that downstream systems depend on every single day to move packages for customers worldwide. You will tackle real production problems: ensuring five-nines availability, designing systems that balance rapid model iteration with production stability, integrating with critical transportation systems, and building the monitoring and diagnostics that keep everything running. If you enjoy owning systems end-to-end, writing clean code that operates at scale, and solving hard problems where reliability truly matters, this is the role for you.
Design and own production software that processes complex inputs and delivers reliable outputs to downstream transportation systems
Build event-driven architectures and automated quality validation frameworks on AWS
Drive operational excellence through monitoring, diagnostics, and chaos testing to achieve five-nines availability
Collaborate with science and engineering teams to integrate model outputs with systems across Amazon's fulfillment network
Basic Qualifications
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Descripción Del Trabajo
Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Partner Development Manager to join the EMEA ISV Team, owning and growing a portfolio of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partnerships across EMEA. Based in Madrid, this role is the primary strategic advisor to a diverse set of ISVs - spanning multiple technology categories - helping them build on AWS, grow through AWS Marketplace, and drive joint customer outcomes.
The Senior PDM will own the end-to-end partner relationship, operating as a trusted advisor at the executive level. You will define the partnership narrative, shape joint go-to-market strategies, and drive measurable business outcomes across your portfolio. This is not an execution-only role - you will independently set direction for your partners, identify new growth opportunities, and influence both internal and external stakeholders to align on strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate combines strong business judgment with the ability to engage credibly at CxO level. You are comfortable operating across technology domains, can quickly develop conviction on a partner's value proposition, and translate that into actionable joint GTM motions. You think long-term, act with urgency, and thrive in ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the partner portfolio - serve as the single-threaded leader for a portfolio of ISVs across the EMEA region, spanning multiple technology categories (e.g., Security, Data & AI, DevOps, Application Modernisation, GenAI)
- Be the strategic advisor - develop deep understanding of each partner's business, product roadmap, and growth ambitions; provide informed guidance on how to maximise their success on AWS
- Own the executive narrative - craft and deliver compelling partnership stories at VP/C-level both internally and externally; position AWS as the partner's cloud of choice through thought leadership and strategic engagement
- Drive AWS Marketplace adoption - accelerate partners' Marketplace listing, transaction, and co-sell motions; identify opportunities to simplify customer procurement and drive measurable revenue through the channel
- Develop joint go-to-market strategies - build and execute partner business plans aligned to AWS field priorities; coordinate co-sell motions with AWS account teams across EMEA
- Identify and develop new opportunities - spot whitespace across partner capabilities, emerging technology trends (GenAI, Agentic AI, SaaS modernisation), and customer demand signals; translate these into new joint value propositions
- Influence cross-functional teams - orchestrate Partner Solutions Architects, Partner Marketing, ISV Sales, and AWS field teams to deliver against partner goals
- Drive partner-level goals - own revenue targets, pipeline metrics, Marketplace transaction growth, and strategic milestones; report progress and propose corrective actions to leadership
- Build executive relationships - develop and maintain VP/CxO-level relationships at partners and within AWS; broker alignment on strategic priorities and escalations
- Raise the bar - contribute to team mechanisms, share best practices, and mentor peers; bring outside-in thinking to continuously improve how the EMEA ISV team operates

Descripción Del Trabajo
Description
The mission of the EU INTech Consumer Selection Discovery teams is to help customers find, evaluate and compare products they like, need or want. Our vision is that every customer should be confident to find the best product for their specific needs and preferences at the best value with very low effort. We believe that every customer and their situation require specific attention and so we build delightful shopping experiences that are tailored to the customer's mission. We innovate from EU for the WW customer. To achieve that, we partner with WW business and tech teams from Softlines, Consumables and Hardlines and other platform/host teams. We don't settle for an average 'one size fits all' and find the right CX for customers on each product family (PF) while delivering a cohesive sitewide CX
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for software developer engineers who are passionate to solve highly ambiguous and challenging problems at global scale. You will be responsible for major components of the team, you will design, develop, deliver and support a variety of software applications in collaboration with a variety of roles and partner teams around the world. You will influence technical direction, drive operational excellence best practices and maintain quality on team deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to learn from high-performing software engineering teams and mentor junior members.
Remember, you do not have to tick every box to apply for the role. If you are excited about joining us and think you have what we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
A day in the life
Our engineers work on various components of retail: Search, Detail Page, Cart, Checkout, Post-Purchase. We build end-to-end from idea, tech design to implementation and weblab experimentation. You will work directly with PMTs and UX designers on fleshing out software requirements.
While we own some components, do expect some away team work. For the services we own be prepared for DevOps work - we optimize for having CI/CD and maintain overall high OE bar.
About the team
We are a cross functional team focused on making Amazon Search more personal, intuitive, and useful for customers. Today, many shoppers still feel Amazon does not fully understand their preferences, and they often need to reapply the same filters and refinement choices each time they shop. Our team is working to change that.
We build search experiences that help customers find the right products faster by making preferences more visible, reusable, and relevant across shopping journeys. Our work spans areas such as fit, size, and other customer preferences, with the goal of creating a more consistent and helpful search experience across product categories. This means solving real customer problems at scale, improving how customers discover products, and reducing friction in the shopping experience.
The team works on complex, high impact problems that sit at the intersection of customer experience, product, science, and engineering. Engineers on the team collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and partner teams to turn ambiguous problem spaces into simple and effective customer solutions. We move quickly, value strong ownership, and enjoy tackling challenging problems that require both deep thinking and practical execution.
Our culture is collaborative, supportive, and focused on learning. We value people who are curious, thoughtful, and excited to build for customers in a space where there is still significant room for innovation.
