**Overview**
As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will develop an understanding of standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment under the guidance of more experienced Data Center colleagues. + Contributes to issue tracking through escalations, asking questions, and seeking guidance on timely resolution of issues from more experienced technicians.

As a **Critical Environment Technician (CET)** in Microsoft's **Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I)** team, you will maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our datacentres up and running. This could include coordinating with suppliers/vendors, recognising safe versus unsafe work environments, having a hands-on understanding of how critical environment equipment works, performing various types of maintenance, responding to onsite incidents while coordinating with other critical facilities professionals, and using telemetry and other platforms to monitor equipment performance and operations.
Microsoft's **Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I)** is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Critical Environment Technician, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies behind Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

- Serve as an operations specialist in one major area of CE operations (e.g., electrical, mechanical, controls, generators) and work on advanced tasks independently.
- Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment (e.g., controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical systems), buildings, and grounds regularly for unsafe or abnormal conditions and escalate according to applicable policies and standards.
- Utilise the internal Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track all equipment assets and complete work order requests for maintenance activities.
- Safely and quickly respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for all abnormal conditions that impact operations, coordinating with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs without supervision.
- Enhance, develop, or follow existing Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to CE operations and incidents.
- Under minimal supervision, perform various types of maintenance (e.g., planned, predictive, corrective) and repairs following appropriate Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for one or more types of equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, cooling systems).
- Have a hands-on understanding of how equipment works and independently troubleshoot equipment, systems, subsystems, and components within their area of expertise.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior colleagues in troubleshooting systems and operational issues.
- Understand, follow, and ensure compliance with safety and security requirements (e.g., Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), toolbox talks), as well as business processes and procedures, to perform work safely, reliably, and to Microsoft's quality standards.

- Conocimientos sólidos en infraestructura como código (Terraform ), Kubernetes , DevOps y herramientas de automatización.
- Experiencia liderando proyectos de arquitectura y migración Cloud.
- Capacidad para diseñar soluciones alineadas con los estándares IT y la gobernanza.
