The Human Resource Officer will report to the Chief Operations Officer at Schiller International University , with a dotted line to the Global Head of HR at GEDU Education, and is responsible for executing all HR related matters, procedures, and practices for Schiller employees.


Providing a high-quality, progressive, equitable and inclusive employment experience is really important to us and this role will assist this by supporting HR employee lifecycle processes. In this role you will act as the first point of contactfor all general enquiries to HR and you will work closely with other HR teams in the wider GEDU group to co-ordinate practices, produce correspondence and update the HR systems.


Schiller currently has a campus in Madrid, Paris, Tampa & Heidelberg. This role will be the main HR contact for the employees in all the campuses.



What We Expect from You ?

  • Responsible for delivering HR support on employee lifecycle processes relating to probation, contract changes, employee screening, sickness, extended family leave, holidays, resignations and retirement by liaising with managers, producingcorrespondence and updating HR systems to all staff across the relevant employee cohort whilst working as part of team to deliver an overall seamless service.
  • Act as primary contact point for payroll matters, liaising with the payroll provider(s) to ensure employees are paid on time and correctly each payroll cycle. For the USA payroll, this role will be responsible for the inhouse management of data into the ADP payroll system. For USA employees, effectively manage the benefits providers to ensure coverage is effectively maintained.
  • Ensure all payroll changes are implemented effectively, and payroll control & governance protocols are observed in a timely manner.
  • Act as SME for the Global HRIS Oracle HCM implementation. Support the implementation team as required and support the business post implementation
  • Direct managers and employees to appropriate guidance channels and act as a point of escalation for key HR matters or issues that arise.
  • Administer the workforce information processes relating to contractual employee data, including (but not limited to), salaried and casual employees, ensuring all payroll deadlines are met.
  • Administer recruitment requirements as needed.
  • Ensure all HR policies and practices are followed and implemented.
  • Ensuring personnel filing is maintained and archived in accordance with the retention schedules.
  • Collaborate in routine house-keeping data checks to support the integrity of the data and system applications.
  • Ensure the delivery of core HR services by adhering to best practice on all HR practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Undertake projectwork as delegated to by the line manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality in relation to people matters and information management complying with GDPR and/or local privacy laws.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all staff to achieve high levels of trust, respect, and professionalism.



What Experience will You Bring to the Role?

  • At least 3+ years of experience in a same or similar role.
  • Efficient HR administration and people skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential


Ideally

  • Experience in administering HR operations matters (contracts, payroll, etc) in any of the following countries is a strong advantage: France, Germany or Florida (USA)
  • Experience in Oracle HCM or equivalent system is advantageous.
  • Experience in system implementation would be beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field would be an advantage


Languages

Either native English speaker or proficiency level of English competency
