WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

We're expanding our Data function within Santander Auto Systems and are looking for an additional BI Developer to come and join the team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring we're able to meet both the internal reporting needs, and the reporting needs of our partner countries and business stakeholders.

Santander Auto Systems is a fast-paced environment that requires a pragmatic, iterative approach to the role, often working with a rapidly evolving technology platform and new requirements.

Whilst the role will be primarily focused around Power BI, additional duties will include support for our data governance programme, helping to build out our modelled data marts, help on data requirements for our integrations into local leasing business data warehouses, and some ad hoc analytics. You'll need to build a great understanding of our source data quickly and become an expert in the data we have and how it can be used.

Working closely with our engineering colleagues in the wider Santander Auto Systems teams, and with our own Data Engineering and Governance team members, you'll be expected to be comfortable engaging on a number of different levels. Key stakeholders will be in the main Santander business, and the leasing country business teams, working as a partner in helping them achieve their goals.

EXPERIENCE

• Ability to operate in fast changing environment.

• Excellent Power BI skills

• Experienced with using visualisation to clearly and succinctly get across key metrics

• Fantastic SQL knowledge

• Able to work both tactically and strategically as necessary.

• Being able to deal with ambiguity and change.

• Understanding of critical path approaches, minimum viable reporting, and how to iterate, engaging with stakeholders actively at all stages.

• Ability to explain concepts clearly to those not familiar them.

• A self-starter who's able to work independently where necessary, without waiting for others. A strong sense of ownership is key to the way we work.

• Strong communication skills.

• Using Github for change management .

• Previous experience in a technology business advantageous.

• Experience of dbt a bonus.
  

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Developer with Tableau and Looker experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful dashboards and reports. This role requires a strong understanding of data visualization best practices, data modeling, and business intelligence concepts.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that meet business requirements
• Connect to various data sources, perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications
• Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance and scalability
• Develop and enforce data visualization and dashboard design best practices
• Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau/Looker dashboards and reports
• Participate in data governance and data quality initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features and industry trends

• 3+ years of experience as a Tableau BI Developer or with other BI Tools
• 1+ years of experience in mobile application analysis
• Proven experience in designing and developing complex Tableau dashboards and reports
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Experience with various data sources, including relational databases, cloud platforms, and flat files
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, QlikView)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for data analysis
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, BigQuery, Databricks)
• Certification in Tableau Desktop or Server

¿Qué esperamos de ti?

• Mínimo 2 años como desarrollador en Qlik (scripting, set analysis y en el diseño de informes)
• Experiencia en Scripting en el proceso de extracción, transformación y carga de datos en Qlik.
• Generación de medidas complejas mediante set analysis.
• Modelado de datos con múltiples tablas de hechos y dimensiones.
• Experiencia en procesos de optimización de apps y recargas incrementales.
• Uso de buenas prácticas en los procesos de creación, gestión y mantenimiento de aplicaciones.
• Desarrollo de metodologías para la creación, gestión y mantenimiento de medidas o indicadores.
• Experiencia trabajando con bases de datos SQL.
• Buenas habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.
• Capacidad para gestionar múltiples requerimientos simultáneos, siguiendo las prioridades marcadas por el equipo financiero y entregando los desarrollos según plazos y objetivos técnicos.
• Experiencia en Qlik Cloud. (Deseable)
