Overview
El Editor elabora y/o revisa los materiales específicos asignados desde su recepción en originales hasta su publicación, bajo la coordinación del Editor Ejecutivo . El Editor asume la responsabilidad de la gestión de componentes completos dentro de la oferta editorial del departamento.
El objetivo de la posición es que los materiales editados tengan un alto nivel de calidad, se adecúen a la línea editorial definida por la Dirección Editorial y respondan a las expectativas del mercado, cumpliendo con las exigencias de la planificación.
El Editor Digital comparte las mismas responsabilidades del rol dándose prioridad a la edición de productos digitales en la asignación de sus tareas dentro del departamento.
Principales responsabilidades del rol- Revisar, editar y adaptar (reescribiendo o redactando textos y actividades) los contenidos entregados por los autores o escritores, aplicando los criterios de edición y estilo definidos para cada publicación, con el fin de obtener los originales adaptados a los objetivos pedagógicos/estratégicos y de mercado requeridos.
- Redactar contenidos siguiendo las pautas definidas por el EPM/TL bajo la supervisión del Editor Ejecutivo.
- Encargar y seleccionar las ilustraciones y elementos gráficos a insertar en las publicaciones para asegurar los niveles de calidad exigidos.
- Colaborar en la definición de las unidades modelo de las publicaciones.
- Revisar, corregir y aprobar las sucesivas pruebas y maquetas realizadas a partir de los originales editados.
- Gestionar los componentes de la oferta asignados , conforme a las indicaciones del Editor Ejecutivo y al calendario definido para su ejecución, asignando tareas a colaboradores/autores y coordinando su realización. Coordinarse con los departamentos de servicios editoriales , asegurando el cumplimiento de los plazos de creación y edición de los productos según lo programado, avisando de posibles desvíos al responsable del proyecto.
- Participar en la creación y edición de contenidos digitales y colaborar en la revisión de productos digitales de su área.
- Analizar las cuotas de mercado y las ofertas editoriales de la competencia para conocer perfectamente el mercado al que se dirigen las publicaciones, detectar y estar al tanto de las nuevas tendencias asegurando así la máxima calidad y perfecta adecuación de los materiales al mercado objetivo.
- Realizar visitas concertadas a centros educativos en las investigaciones de mercado para tener mayor contacto con el mercado y ganar autonomía a la hora de realizar su trabajo al tener bien detectadas las necesidades de los clientes.
- Licenciatura/Grado en Geografía o Historia.
- Experiencia en Edición de Libros de Texto.
- Capacidad para verificar datos históricos y geográficos con rigor.
- Deseable Master en Edición.
- Capacidad de trabajo en equipo.

As a CEM teacher, you will play a key role in delivering our strategic priorities, fostering independent learning in a creative and challenging environment, and supporting students to grow into confident, successful citizens. Who we are looking forYou are an empathetic, adaptable educator with teaching experience and a passion for inspiring students. You bring strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and you're confident identifying and responding to behavioural changes. With a qualification to teach ESO and Baccalaureate (or equivalent), you’re fluent in English and ready to engage students of all backgrounds. You thrive in a collaborative environment, embrace change with optimism and creativity, and are committed to excellence in everything you do. Experience in international or bilingual settings, or fluency in French or German, would be a welcome bonus.
