Descripción completa del puesto

At HEMAV, we are an AgriTech StartUp founded in 2012, working passionately on Data Science in the agrifood industry with the purpose of generating more food with less environmental impact.

We use a unique approach based on Artificial Intelligence, satellite technology, and other data sources (drones, meteorological data, soil data, etc.).

Our technology provides field-specific information and knowledge, enabling better decision-making for our users. The HEMAV family comprises around 40 team members across Spain, Brazil, Peru, and the USA, with approximately 50 regional partners in over 17 countries across Europe, America, and Africa. More than 5,000 users access our platform, which covers 6 million hectares.

HEMAV values include:

  • Teamwork: We are a family and work together seamlessly.
  • Passion: We wake up every morning to change the world.
  • Simplicity: Less is more; technology should simplify our lives.
  • Excellence: We strive for our best and learn from our values.
  • Integrity: Transparency and honesty define us.
  • Innovation: We embrace creativity in facing challenges.

Our software, LAYERS, generates key yield forecasting data and offers analytics with significant impact on the agricultural sector. It helps clients improve treatment efficiency, estimate yields (tonnes per hectare), and assess crop quality (e.g., soybean protein content). Main challenges addressed include:

  • Crop Management
  • Production yield and logistics
  • Economical yield
  • Climate change risk assessment

LAYERS aims to minimize these risks through continuous monitoring and predictions, becoming central to yield-related decision-making in the agribusiness value chain. Our slogan is:

Reshaping the future by increasing land efficiency

The LAYERS Product Team consists of 13 members organized into four squads: DevOps, BackEnd, UX/UI, and Data Intelligence. We operate in two to four-week sprints with demos to update the entire company on product progress.
