We are looking for a Deep Learning Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing advanced AI models for robotic applications . Your Role

As a Deep Learning Engineer at THEKER, you will be responsible for designing, training, and deploying advanced Deep Learning models , primarily in the areas of computer vision and natural language processing . Your models will be a core part of our robotics systems, enabling intelligent perception, decision-making, and automation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Deep Learning models for robotic applications, focusing on areas like text processing, computer vision, and autonomous decision-making.
• Collaborate with robotics engineers to integrate AI models with robotic systems, ensuring seamless operation in real-world environments.
• Experiment with state-of-the-art AI and Deep Learning techniques, optimizing them for performance and real-time application in robotics.
• Train, test, and fine-tune models using large datasets to achieve high accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of AI-driven systems that enhance robot autonomy and decision-making.
• Support the continuous improvement of AI models, iterating and optimizing based on real-world testing and feedback.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence , Deep Learning , Computer Science , Data Science , Software Engineering , or a related field.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning , including techniques such as CNNs, RNNs, transformers, or reinforcement learning.
• Proficiency in frameworks like TensorFlow , PyTorch , or similar.
• Hard-working attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with robotics engineers to integrate AI solutions into real-world robotic systems.
• A strong problem-solving attitude, with a passion for innovating and pushing the boundaries of Deep Learning technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously on AI-driven projects, taking ownership of design, implementation, and deployment.
• Innovative, out-of-the-box thinker with a passion for robotics.
• Willingness to reside in Barcelona or relocate to this city or its surroundings.

Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory):

• Professional experience is not required and an outstanding academic record or active participation in extracurricular projects during university (such as competitions, formula student/moto student, research projects, or personal innovations) will be a big plus.
• Experience working with computer vision models (e.g., object detection, segmentation, etc.) or natural language processing.
• Experience in frameworks like TensorFlow , PyTorch , or similar.
• Knowledge of Python and/or C++ for model implementation and integration.
• Familiarity with the deployment of AI models on embedded systems or edge devices.
• Active participation in extracurricular projects (e.g., robotics competitions, coding challenges, or personal projects) will be a strong advantage.
