Estate Planning & Trust Administration Attorney
Posted 6 days ago
Description
(You bring experience and impact—we’ll match it.)
Let’s be honest:
You didn’t become an attorney to chase nonsense. But somewhere along the way, the work lost its meaning. You're tired of the chaos, the endless churn, and the lack of purpose.
At Ocean Estate Law, we believe great legal work is measured—yes, in billable hours—but also in impact. When clients walk in confused and walk out confident, that matters. When your work helps families avoid probate disasters and protects generational wealth, that’s the win.
We’re not a “churn-and-burn” shop. We’re a high-performing, heart-led estate planning firm. And we’re looking for a Senior Attorney who knows how to deliver quality, hit their numbers, and care deeply while doing it.
What You Get
- 401(k) with 3% match (after 1 year)
- Profit sharing (after 1 year)
- Paid vacation & holidays
- Free parking
- A team-first culture focused on service, excellence, and professional growth
- Leadership that values your time, input, and impact, not just your billables
What You’ll Be Doing (And Doing Well)
- Leading clients through our proven estate planning process with clarity and compassion
- Drafting custom trust provisions and high-quality estate planning and asset protection strategies
- Managing probate and trust administration matters from intake through resolution
- Mentoring and collaborating with a supportive legal team
- Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and referral partners
- Tracking your time, hitting your goals, and contributing to firm-wide success
- Using tools like MS Office, time tracking software, and WealthCounsel (preferred)
Who You Are (Besides Seriously Experienced)
- Juris Doctor and active California Bar license
- 2+ years in estate planning, probate, and trust administration
- A proven track record of quality work, dependable results, and strong billable performance
- Skilled communicator who puts clients at ease and leads with professionalism
- Comfortable with structure and productivity—but not driven by numbers alone
- Passionate about estate planning as a tool for protecting families, wealth, and legacies
- You think client experience is optional
- You resist systems, deadlines, or tracking your time
- You don’t want to be held accountable for your billable hour goals
- You want “easy” over excellence
- You’re ready to step into a leadership role at a firm that’s growing fast
- You want your work to be meaningful and measurable
- You believe high performance and client care go hand-in-hand
- You’ve mastered the balance between empathy and efficiency
- You want to go home at the end of the day knowing you made a real difference
$120,000 DOE
What Makes Ocean Estate Law Different
At our firm, clients don’t just get legal solutions — they get clarity, compassion, and confidence in their future. We’re proud to make a lasting difference in people’s lives. Our clients leave our office feeling better than when they arrived, whether they hire us or not.
If you're looking for a meaningful career with strong earning potential, professional development, and the chance to do work that truly matters — we want to hear from you.
