ROLE SUMMARY :
British Council School, Madrid, is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Teacher of Mathematics to join our dedicated Secondary team. You will inspire and support students across Key Stages 3, 4 (English National Curriculum), and 5 (Bilingual Baccalaureate - BiBac), helping them reach their full academic potential while growing as global citizens.
As a valued member of our school community, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics department, creating innovative and practical learning experiences that foster deep understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. You will also take on the role of form tutor, providing vital pastoral care and acting as a key point of contact for students and their families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deliver an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum in Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Encourage high expectations and foster a supportive environment that motivates and challenges pupils.
- Use a variety of effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to ensure progression and measurable outcomes.
- Provide pastoral care as a form tutor, maintaining regular communication with families and staff.
- Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities when appropriate.
- Follow safeguarding protocols and support student wellbeing.
- Fulfil additional duties as outlined by the line manager, including those in the National Private Schools Collective Agreement.

Diseñar y aplicar metodologías activas y diferenciadas que fomenten la participación y el aprendizaje profundo.
Realizar el seguimiento y la evaluación continua del progreso del alumnado.
Participar en reuniones de departamento y colaborar en proyectos pedagógicos.
Mantener una comunicación fluida y eficaz con alumnos, familias y equipo docente.
Garantizar el cumplimiento de las normas de convivencia y políticas de protección del menor del centro.
Grado o Licenciatura en Física, Ingeniería o titulación afín.
Máster Universitario en Formación del Profesorado o equivalente (CAP).
Experiencia previa enseñando Física a nivel de Bachillerato o equivalente.
Dominio del español a nivel nativo o C2.
Conocimiento actualizado del currículo de Bachillerato o programas internacionales equivalentes.
