Cozymeal, a marketplace for culinary experiences, is looking for Culinary Instructors in Madrid, Spain. Madrid features a culinary scene filled with the bright aromas, herbs and fresh produce of the Spanish landscape. As the demand for culinary experiences has grown, we are looking for culinary instructors to teach cooking classes in Madrid and share their passion and expertise of culture and cuisine with others. The Cozymeal platform helps connect chef instructors in Madrid with new clients while providing all the tools, marketing and support to succeed at your craft. Be your own boss, set your own schedule and create unique menus while delivering a fun and interactive experience. Apply to become a culinary instructor in Madrid today.

Responsibilities
  • Teach cooking classes in Madrid and share your passion and expertise of culture and cuisine with others.
  • Be your own boss, set your own schedule and create unique menus while delivering a fun and interactive experience.
  • The Cozymeal platform helps connect chef instructors in Madrid with new clients while providing all the tools, marketing and support to succeed at your craft.

We are looking for a Chef / Culinary Instructor to join our dynamic team in Barcelona.

What We're Looking For

We seek a passionate and outgoing chef who enjoys sharing their culinary expertise with an international audience.
Ideal candidates should have:

  1. Advanced English proficiency (will be tested). Spanish and other languages are a plus.
  2. Formal culinary training (undergraduate or technical studies).
  3. At least one year of kitchen experience with demonstrable skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as this is a guest-facing role.
  5. A strong team-player mindset and a proactive attitude.
Your Responsibilities

As a Chef / Culinary Instructor , you will:

  1. Prepare mise en place for daily and weekly operations.
  2. Assist the lead instructor in guiding cooking classes, eventually transitioning to teaching and leading the classes yourself.
  3. Engage with guests, creating a welcoming and interactive environment.
  4. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and facilities.
  5. Execute basic recipes under the guidance of the Executive Chef.
  6. Prepare meals for the staff when required.
  7. Manage inventory, deliveries, and stock control.
  8. Receive and store raw materials efficiently.
A Day In the Life

Your day at The Paella Club will be dynamic and engaging.
You'll start by setting up mise en place and ensuring everything is ready for the day's cooking experiences. At first, you will assist the lead chef in guiding the class and learning the structure and rhythm of our culinary experiences.
As you grow into the role, you will take the lead in teaching the classes yourself, and instructing guests in a fun, interactive, and educational way.
Between sessions, you'll help keep the kitchen clean and organized, prepare meals for staff, and support inventory management.
On some days, you'll contribute to special events and private culinary experiences.

Full-time position (40 hours per week)
Progression until leading the cooking experiences
Continuous shifts, with occasional split shifts for private events and special occasions
Competitive salary based on experience plus generous tips from our international clientele

  • Tutoring projects, reviewing work, following up with students, dynamizing forums, etc.
Requirements

Do you identify yourself with the following characteristics?

  • You have at least a FP2 degree in Cooking, Gastronomy or similar.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience working in gastronomic or Michelin Star restaurants.
  • Knowledge of computer tools at user level, such as Excel and PowerPoint.

You will make a difference if:

  • You have delivered training, both formal and non-formal.
  • You have a Master's Degree in Teacher Training and/or the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (CAP).
  • You have experience working with learning platforms, such as Moodle or similar.
  • You have a high level of English (C1).
