Job Description

The Project

ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2, Sydney’s third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.

Project scope includes :

  • Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction
  • Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
  • Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway

In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for a Contracts Administrator to join the Western Harbour Tunnel Project. You will be responsible for the procurement of numerous Packages, the establishment and negotiation of contracts while acting as an intermediary between the subcontractors and ACCIONA by resolving possible conflicts.

Specific Tasks Include

  • Administer and supervise contract administration and compliance (Downstream).
  • Lead procurement for a number of critical pckages.
  • Develop and prepare regular reports on the status of contracts.
  • Draft, prepare, and execute internal and external correspondence on contractual matters as required.
  • Assist in resolving contract payment disputes and confer with contractors and other business units concerning contract payments and compliance.
  • Perform and / or review contract payment and audits.
  • Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents.

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Experience in major construction project contract management and procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual / legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work well with others and demonstrate leadership skills.

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a skilled Contracts Manager with strong contract administration and quantity surveying experience to support a large-scale industrial project in the Tarragona, Spain. This role is critical to the successful execution of engineering, construction, and service contracts throughout the full project lifecycle.

    As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for developing and managing contracting strategies, drafting and negotiating contracts, handling claims and change orders, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external contractors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute contract and procurement strategies

    • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts and purchase orders (POs)

    • Lead bidding processes and coordinate supplier prequalification and evaluation

    • Manage contract changes, claims, and closeouts

    • Ensure SAP and Scout platform data integrity (invoice, PO, and supplier management)

    • Support project cost forecasting, schedule planning, and commercial compliance

    • Facilitate kick-off meetings and ensure contractual alignment with technical scopes

    • Maintain contract documentation, track deliverables, and support reporting

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management for large-scale industrial or engineering projects

    • Strong knowledge of lump sum, remeasure, and reimbursable contract models

    • Proficient in SAP , Microsoft Office , and familiar with sourcing tools like Scout

    • Experience in change management and claims handling

    • Strong commercial and legal contract awareness

    Work Schedule: Full-time, site-based
    Contract : 12 months (minimum - likely to extend)

    About the Role:
    We are seeking a skilled Contracts Manager with strong contract administration and quantity surveying experience to support a large-scale industrial project in the Tarragona, Spain. This role is critical to the successful execution of engineering, construction, and service contracts throughout the full project lifecycle.

    As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for developing and managing contracting strategies, drafting and negotiating contracts, handling claims and change orders, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external contractors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute contract and procurement strategies

    • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts and purchase orders (POs)

    • Lead bidding processes and coordinate supplier prequalification and evaluation

    • Manage contract changes, claims, and closeouts

    • Ensure SAP and Scout platform data integrity (invoice, PO, and supplier management)

    • Support project cost forecasting, schedule planning, and commercial compliance

    • Facilitate kick-off meetings and ensure contractual alignment with technical scopes

    • Maintain contract documentation, track deliverables, and support reporting

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management for large-scale industrial or engineering projects

    • Strong knowledge of lump sum, remeasure, and reimbursable contract models

    • Proficient in SAP , Microsoft Office , and familiar with sourcing tools like Scout

    • Experience in change management and claims handling

    • Strong commercial and legal contract awareness

    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

    • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil) or Quantity Surveying

    • MRICS and/or CIPS certification ()

    • Experience in the industrial gases, energy, or EPC sector
