WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Global Head of CERT is responsible for:
- Coordination of global incident & threat response
- Establish and coordinate Santander's cyber incident & threat response capability and processes across the group to coordinate containment, response, escalation, and recovery activities for cyber security incidents and 3rd party events. Ensure response activities are closely integrated with key cyber security areas (such as Cyber Protect, Cyber Detect, and entity CERTs), internal stakeholders (such as Communications, Security & Intelligence, Crisis Management, Legal, and 2nd Line of defence), and external stakeholders (Peers and Industry Forums).
- Digital investigations and forensic analysis
- Establish and coordinate cutting-edge capability to perform forensic analysis, investigations as part of incident response. Lead Global Cyber's response to insider threats and support continual alignment with Security & Intelligence and entity investigations.
The role reports directly to the Global Head of Respond & Intelligence, who is part of the Group CISO & Fraud leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Track record of leading best-in-class Cyber Emergency Response Teams or Cyber Security Incident Response Teams in large multinational organizations or Government Entities
- Extensive experience managing complex and global cyber incidents & threats to reduce business disruption
- Excellent technical expertise in forensic analysis, complex investigations, processes, and systems
- Deep understanding of cyber threats, attacker techniques, tools, and processes
- Extensive knowledge of IT, security solutions, and frameworks
- Strong analytical skills to assess cyber risks and develop mitigation plans
- Excellent global information sharing networks with industry peers and government partners
- Experience driving operational excellence through KPIs, process improvements, and innovation
- Formal qualifications such as degrees, certificates, or licenses (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, CISM, GCIA, OSCP)
