We’re looking for an Energy Markets & Risk Analyst to join our team. You’ll play a key role in our energy operations, helping us optimize our participation in wholesale markets (OMIE & MIBGAS), manage risk, and turn data into strategic decisions.

What You'll Do- Manage and optimize daily trading operations in OMIE and MIBGAS , ensuring efficient, strategic market participation.
- Monitor hedge positions and market exposure, proposing swift actions to mitigate risks.
- Support the execution of wholesale trades, collaborating with the Procurement and Market Risk team during critical periods.
- Work cross-functionally with Strategy, Finance, and Data Science teams to align procurement and pricing decisions.
- Build and improve dashboards , risk reports , and forecasting models using both internal and external data.
- Analyze forecast accuracy and model performance to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to ensure compliance with market obligations.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes or market dynamics that could impact our business.
- Solid knowledge of the Iberian energy market, especially OMIE and MIBGAS.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in energy trading, risk analysis, forecasting, or similar roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter) and SQL , with the ability to build and maintain complex data models and analytical tools.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools and experience working in collaborative, data-driven environments.
- Ability to handle large datasets, detect patterns, and extract actionable insights.
- Fluency in English and Spanish , both technically and interpersonally.
- Experience with APIs or machine learning models is a plus, but not required.
- Location: Valencia - Madrid - Barcelona.
- Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week
