We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or in Germany.

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be in an international environment, and you will provide second level support by resolving customer(s) problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction, retention rate. You will apply critical thinking to resolve appropriate action to rapidly repair instrumentation, train our customers and our Service Engineers, also support our Applications Team and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems in order to supply to our overall commercial organization.

You will operate independently basically in Italian/ Germany territory and in Europe when needed (with overnight required as needed) to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. Of course, we operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor and receive experienced technical support.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Biomedical engineer or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years of Technical Support, Field Service experience with Diagnostics market

  • Early careers are welcome but with troubleshooting experience, gained during Thesis or Internships

  • Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.

  • Ability to travel and provide service in whole country as well as periodic travel to other European countries and overnight travel. A current valid driver’s license is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an IT/OT Systems Engineer to join our EMEA #Tech organization, overseeing the Infrastructure Technology and End-user Productivity services in our production site in Mendaro, Spain.

This position is key to the success of our production plant, as it ensures the seamless integration of IT and OT environments. A critical part of the role is to connect and maintain production machines on the network, enabling efficient, secure, and reliable manufacturing operations.

You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all IT systems and networks on-site, as well as ensuring their alignment with the operational technology (OT) systems that control the production processes. You will also provide technical support and guidance to the production staff and managers on IT/OT-related issues and best practices.

We are looking for a generalist, who has the desire to work on Windows-based operating systems, network architectures, cyber security activities, and OT Infrastructure projects.

You should have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders. In this role, you will report to the #Tech Manager of our production site based in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure connectivity and integration of production machines into the network, guaranteeing secure and stable communication between IT and OT systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for IT and OT-related issues through various communication channels such as phone, ticket system, or in person.
  • Assist end-users in setting up and configuring computers, mobile devices, and software applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity problems promptly and effectively.
  • Investigate and identify the root causes of recurring technical issues and implement preventive measures to reduce future incidents.
  • Collaborate with regional and global #Tech teams to ensure IT systems meet the needs and standards of the organization.
Hardware and Software Maintenance
  • Logging, tracking, and prioritizing support requests using a ticketing system.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of user issues by following established service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Escalating complex or unresolved problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Security and Compliance
  • Assisting in user access management, including provisioning and de-provisioning user accounts as per security protocols. Working according to the ITIL framework and ISO 27001.
Inventory Management
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory of IT/OT assets, including software licenses
  • IT Hardware purchases based on Straumann’s global standards.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades, to ensure system reliability and security.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

Qualification and Experience
  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Good technical knowledge of IT and OT systems, hardware, and software.

  • Understanding of production processes, such as automation, PLCs, SCADA, 5G networks etc. is a plus.

Descripción Del Trabajo

  • Hands on support for end user workplace technology, including laptops, thin clients, and peripherals.
  • Perform hardware tasks such as cabling, device delivery, setup, imaging, and resets.
  • Manage local stock and coordinate storage activities, ensuring accurate asset tracking and availability.
  • Act as onsite "eyes and hands" to support the technical room, including basic server and networking support under the guidance of remote teams.
  • Coordinate with global AZ Tech teams to ensure seamless integration and escalation of issues as needed.
  • Support ad hoc IT needs, including troubleshooting and resolving first-level hardware or connectivity issues.
  • Hardware Issues (AMC): End-to-end coordination with the vendor (Lenovo) for issue resolution.
  • Password Management (AMC): Assistance with BitLocker, BIOS, and image-related password issues.
  • Software & Network Issues (AMC/AVC): Incident management and troubleshooting.
  • Software Packaging: Support with new software packaging for AVC/AMC.
  • AGN Support: Assistance with SD-WAN, WiFi, LAN, and VC – including service outages, upgrades, and refreshers.
  • IT Onboarding: Help with activation of licenses and necessary IT services where self service has not been successful

Buscamos un/a IT Support para integrarse en nuestro equipo de profesionales del sector banca.

Requisitos mínimos
  • Conocimientos avanzados en sistemas operativos de puesto de trabajo (Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS) (3-5 años).
  • Experiencia en sistemas operativos móviles (iOS, iPadOS, Android) (1-3 años).
  • Conocimientos en Microsoft 365 : OneDrive, Outlook, Office (3-5 años).
  • Dominio de MS Teams y SharePoint Online (1-3 años).
  • Experiencia en Azure Intune y Active Directory on-premise (1-3 años).
  • Conocimientos avanzados en SCCM, MECM y MDM (1-3 años).
  • Experiencia con PowerShell (1-3 años).
  • Conocimientos sólidos en administración de Windows Server (3-5 años).
  • Experiencia en sistemas de impresión y sistemas audiovisuales (AV Systems) (1-3 años).
  • Conocimientos avanzados de procesos ITSM y herramientas asociadas (5-8 años).
  • Experiencia en gestión de stakeholders (1-3 años).
  • Nivel de inglés fluido (mínimo B2 , hablado y escrito) (3-5 años).
