Digital Autonomy with RISC-V in Europe (DARE) is a large-scale European Supercomputing project. DARE aims to develop prototype HPC and AI systems based on EU-designed and developed industry-standard chiplets, using the latest silicon technology nodes to achieve the highest performance and energy efficiency.
This 3-year, 38 partners initiative, with a budget of €240 million and supported by EuroHPC, will develop a complete supercomputing compute stack, featuring high-performance and energy-efficient processors designed and developed in Europe. DARE project is the first phase of an HPC-specific European Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) program with a span of 6+ years.
Description:
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) leads the DARE project and is offering 53 engineering positions at all levels of the compute stack.

A vacancy for a Hardware/Software Assurance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join Systems Engineering Department.
The Mission is to define and provide a process involving practices, tools and techniques to substantiate, at an adequate level of confidence, that errors in requirements, design and implementation have been identified and corrected such that the system satisfies the applicable certification basis.
Tasks & Accountabilities
- Discuss with the Airworthiness / Certification Authorities the Certification Basis, including CRIs if required, and the level of involvement of the authority.
- Monitoring Supplier Development: Ensure that the supplier performs its activities in compliance with RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178, and applicable CRIs or guidelines, control of processes with traceability, validation and verification, supervision of Requirements Based Engineering, Control over SEU, (Single Event Upset) and Robustness of the equipment assigned, etc.
- Perform the same reviews as the Airworthiness / Certification Authorities with enough anticipation to be able to correct any deficiency.
- Define the required documentation that Airbus shall receive at each milestone of the Hardware and Software development according to RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178.
- Report that the compliance can be demonstrated as being consistent with the criticality/safety requirements and the program development schedule
Required Skills
- Educated to degree level in Engineering
- Experience in the area of Hardware Design Assurance and Software Design Assurance of aircraft equipment including Complex Electronic Hardware devices: micro-coded components, such as ASICs, PLDs, and complex COTS components.
- He/she will work jointly with system/equipment designers in order to ensure civil/military certification of aircraft equipment including Complex Electronic Hardware devices, based on RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178 standard or equivalent. As well coordination with departments of Quality or domains in charge of Certification, Qualification, Safety, Software Assurance and Design Office will be required.
- He/she shall be able to master the different standard relative to Complex Electronic Hardware like RTCA/DO-254 and Software like RTCA/DO-178.

- Controlar la ejecución de diagramas eléctricos y neumáticos y la programación del proyecto asignado.
- Controlar la ejecución de la programación offline y asegurar la entrega a tiempo.
- Coordinar o ejecutar el FB2404_ChecklisteFunktionsabnahme (prueba en seco, retirada, regresión, reparación, mantenimiento, etc.).
- Supervisar la puesta en marcha en el sitio, que puede incluir asistencia en el lugar.
- Controlar la ejecución de la documentación del cliente y asegurar que se entregue a tiempo.
- Preparar la Prognosis de coste para el proyecto mensualmente.
- Actualizar el plan de tiempo del proyecto semanalmente.
- Asegurar el cumplimiento de las regulaciones de seguridad.
- Coordinar y liderar a los miembros del equipo asignados al proyecto.
- Detectar potenciales de ahorro en el proyecto.
Calificaciones
- Ingeniería en Automatización con al menos 4 años de experiencia o formación técnica superior.
- Inglés profesional.
- Otro idioma es un plus: Alemán, francés.
- Experiencia en Ingeniería Neumática.
- Experiencia en diseño de hardware.
- Experiencia en programación PLC.
- Conocimiento y experiencia de procesos técnicos de líneas de ensamblaje automotriz.
- Dominio de office como usuario.
