Your Career
As a Senior Employee Relations Partner, you will be an integral part of the HR community providing expertise in preventing and resolving workplace issues that interfere with our positive workplace environment and culture. In this position, you will use your experience and knowledge of applicable policies, regulations, and industry best practices to establish and follow appropriate protocol for employee relations issues and investigations. As a thought leader in this area of expertise, you will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver educational programs to create awareness and training and help create a workplace free from behavioral issues and distractions. You should be an innovative HR professional with a passion for coaching employees and managers and creating teams that work together and win together. You should be comfortable working with any level of employee or manager, have a knack at reading a situation and navigating sensitivities and finding creative solutions to people's issues. You are highly collaborative, truly valuing the contributions of your partners. You should have strong influencing skills, demonstrate practical judgment and creative problem solving to enable effective consultation and negotiation in individual and collective situations.
Your Impact
Lead investigations on employee relations matters and potential policy violations to evaluate and effectively address issues-Partner with HRBPs, legal and other investigative parties as required to thoroughly conduct the investigation and reach the best outcomes for our organization and employees.
Coach leaders during performance improvement efforts. Provide guidance to elevate performance and capability and implement local processes as required to address ongoing performance issues.
Partner with the PBP and ER teams with local country and compliance projects as required from time to time.
Provide specialist expertise for Spain related ER topics and cover a portfolio of ER topics in other countries, as may be assigned to you, including but not limited to Italy and France.
Manage the relationship with any Workers Council(s) as may be implemented in the future in Spain.
Create guidelines, best practice research, and training to educate employees, managers, and other members of HR in how to mitigate and properly address behavioral issues in the workplace
Prepare, track and maintain appropriate investigation data and documentation to recognize trends and anticipate opportunities for further education and action

Your Experience
7 – 10 years of Employee Relations experience gained in either an Employee Relations role, HRBP or equivalent experience as an employment attorney practicing employment law with particular experience required in Spain.
Excellent coaching and training skills to elevate the leadership capability around performance improvement
Experience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of employee relations issues, including manager/employee conflicts, performance issues, or behavioral issues
Experience engaging with Workers Councils and unions in Spain, with experience of Workers Councils in other jurisdictions an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize and analyze data
Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization
Effective listener and persuasive communicator able to influence actions and outcomes
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Legal degree preferred
Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Additional languages are an advantage, particularly French, Italian or German.

- Design and deliver training actions to enhance ER capacities within the HR and Senior leaders' functions.
- Collaborate with Public Relations and Internal Operations Communications to design and develop campaigns that enhance employee pride on Amazon. Lead "test & learn" initiatives, creative thinking, and action to improve employee sentiment.
LABOR RELATIONS FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT
- Develop the LR framework for major transformation cycles (e.G., site lifecycle milestones) to increase pan-EU standardization, lower costs, and reduce time to deliver while enhancing stakeholders and Associate satisfaction.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- Experience in Employees and Labor Relations management with a focus on pan-EU coverage Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships in matrix environment, including third-party engagement at EU federation level
- Fluency in both written and spoken English (Common European Framework of Reference, C2) and at least one other European language, including but not limited to, French, Spanish, Italian, German.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in a related field
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex ELR concepts into actionable strategies
- Communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and persevere over internal and external barriers to drive resolutions.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Employee Relations Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR community, you will play a vital role in preventing and resolving workplace issues that impact our positive work environment and culture.
In this position, you will use your expertise and knowledge of applicable policies, regulations, and industry best practices to establish and follow appropriate protocols for employee relations issues and investigations.
You will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver educational programs to create awareness and training, helping to create a workplace free from behavioral issues and distractions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in Employee Relations, HRBP or equivalent experience as an employment attorney practicing employment law with particular experience required in Spain.
- Excellent coaching and training skills to elevate leadership capability around performance improvement.
- Experience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of employee relations issues, including manager / employee conflicts, performance issues, or behavioral issues.
- Experience engaging with Workers Councils and unions in Spain, with experience of Workers Councils in other jurisdictions an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize and analyze data.
- Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization.
- Effective listener and persuasive communicator able to influence actions and outcomes.

The Senior Employee Relations (ER) Manager ensures Amazon’s readiness considering the forthcoming EU regulations and looks after trade unions management, employee engagement, and organizational transformation across EU. This role is part of the Employee Experience and Relations (EXR) team, reporting directly to the EU EXR Risk, Project & Compliance leader. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders at country, Business lines (BL), pan-EU and global level (notably the Global Labor Relations Team). By doing so, this role enhances Amazon’s compliance, drives positive employee engagement on essential priorities, and increases Amazon’s agility to manage ambiguous and complex situations.
This role can be performed from the following countries: France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, UK. There will be travel required up to 30% of the time, mostly within the EU.
Key job responsibilities
EU REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND COORDINATION: Coordinate the EXR effort related to forthcoming EU regulation, including:
- Working with Public Policy to identify approved and emerging regulations;
- Conducting impact analysis at pan-EU level, and support gap analysis across EU countries;
- Coordinating the preparation required at country level;
- Being accountable for the EXR working backward plan of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
THIRD-PARTY STRATEGY MANAGEMENT: Lead the pan-EU strategy for third-party activities at EU federation level:
- Maintain up-to-date information and external insights about relevant developments and trends;
- Develop engagement strategies in collaboration with Public Policy and Public Relation;
- Provide reactive and proactive recommendations for third-party management, notably in case of significant development (UK reform).
