The British International School of Marbella seeks an exceptional, well-qualified Secondary Teacher of Computer Science to join an innovative and dynamic school. The successful candidate will demonstrate a meticulous and creative approach to teaching and have the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the school.

• Have recent UK or International experience of teaching Computer Science up to IGCSE and A level
• Have an Honours Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have a proven track record of raising standards of attainment in Computer Science
• A commitment to curriculum innovation
• Be an outstanding teacher
• Be well organised and create a stimulating learning environment
• Be enthusiastic and demonstrate a positive approach to pupils
• Be a reflective practitioner and continually strive to improve performance

Role Context: As a member of the senior management team of IE School of Science & Technology, the Academic Director will support the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs in delivering strategic, operational, and commercial objectives for the Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics and/or future programs in Data, Computing, and Mathematics. Responsibilities include designing and coordinating research projects, providing academic guidance, and representing the institution internationally. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses is also possible if desired.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with IE University stakeholders, including senior staff, program directors, admissions, and international offices, and develop external relationships as needed.
• Support the Associate Dean with academic matters aligned with commercial and financial goals.
• Assist in implementing curricular and extracurricular innovations.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. from a top university in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills.
• Curious, eager to learn, open-minded, and a team player.
• Interest in working in a multicultural environment.
• Relevant experience is an asset.
• Deep knowledge of research, innovation, policy, and technology.
• Experience as a project manager, especially in higher education or learning management systems, is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
