Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Control Advisor, Aircraft Maintenance specializing in MH-60R & MH-60S PLANNED MAINTENANCE INTERVAL (PMI) / ORGANIZATIONAL-LEVEL (O-LEVEL) MAINTENANCE & SQUADRON SUPPORT aircraft located at Rota Spain . The Maintenance Control Advisor will assist in controlling daily aircraft maintenance in support of squadron operations on Naval rotary wing aircraft to include but not limited to, coordinating maintenance efforts required to meet the daily flight schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely in coordination with Site-Lead to meet contract performance requirements.
- Coordinate and advise on execution of scheduled inspections, discrepancy correction, and aircraft servicing in alignment with flight schedules.
- Advise the customer on releasing aircraft safe for flight.
- Assign project/priority codes, recommend cannibalization actions, review aircraft discrepancy books for recommending aircraft safe for flight, and meet established timeline goals for phase and special inspections.
- Works closely with Site-Lead, Quality Assurance Manager for GOP’s implementation.
- Works with the EH&S Manager for compliance, safety training and OSHA compliance
- Assists Site-Lead to prepare and brief progress, goals, risks, and milestones to corporate level executives when required, as it relates to the site contracted efforts
- Lead teams, manage workload distribution, and maintain technical standards in a challenging OCONUS environment.
- 8 years’ current or previous experience in controlling daily aircraft maintenance in support of squadron operations on Naval rotary wing aircraft to include but not limited to:
- Performed as a Maintenance Control Advisor knowledgeable and able to assist in coordinating maintenance efforts required to meet the daily flight schedule.
- Has advised the customer on releasing aircraft safe for flight, assigned project/priority codes, recommended cannibalization actions, reviewed aircraft discrepancy books for recommending aircraft safe for flight, and meet established timeline goals for phase and special inspections.
- Capable of notifying and coordinating daily with the Site-Lead
- Extensive knowledge of MH-60R/S systems and maintenance procedures.
- Exceptional working knowledge of NAMP (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2), NALCOMIS/OOMA, and ASM.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Pass a background check
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
- Prior experience in developing and providing contractor availability and non-availability schedules to the COR to identify any gaps in qualifications during shifts.
- Prior experience supporting USN MH-60R/S Depot Maintenance operations.
- Familiar with OCONUS special requirements, specifically Rota NAS, Spain
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
- Position may involve prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk.
- Frequent walking to and around hangar areas may be required.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and manipulate 50lbs independently when needed.
- Ability to climb and stand on ladders when necessary.
- Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Position involves long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling on aircraft structure and around aircraft for maintenance functions.
- Position may require use and/or exposure to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
- Position is located near or in a high noise area within an aircraft hangar/flightline environment.
- FIT for Duty Physical is required.
- May require DOT and Respiratory Physicals.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
