Loss Prevention Specialist, BR Security & Loss Prevention

The Loss Prevention Specialist will be based on-site at Amazon's Sort Center (SC) Operations in Cajamar / SP.

This role is responsible for securing Amazon’s people, assets, and information under the roof (UTR) by implementing, leading, and managing the Brazil Security & Loss Prevention program locally.

• Manage the security team contract;
• Enhance, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling performance improvements to achieve desired results on time and as planned;
• Lead internal and external theft and fraud investigations, and conduct interviews when appropriate;
• Effectively handle security incidents, including potential and actual workplace violence, according to policy, and conduct incident response plan testing;
• Ensure team members understand, align their performance and actions with, and can clearly articulate the organization’s and department’s vision and values;
• Serve as a departmental liaison and subject matter expert on security;
• Develop business cases that secure the necessary approvals, financial and technical resources, and management support to implement desired changes;
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and increase efficiency;
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain individuals who elevate the performance of the security services organization, when necessary;
• Collaborate with multiple teams and influence key stakeholders effectively.

• Complete Bachelor degree;
• Experience in loss prevention activities, asset protection, and property security;
• Experience in companies with logistics operations, industry, manufacturing environments, and interaction with different stakeholders;
• Intermediate English (spoken and written communication skills);
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel;
• Availability to work flexible hours / shifts, including weekends and holidays;
• Availability for domestic travel : 5-10% travel per year.

• Experience leading teams and providing management, leadership, and guidance to team members as needed;
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts; certification is desired;
• Knowledge of data handling for decision-making and experience using databases (querying and analysis), such as SQL, MySQL, Access, and exception-based reporting tools;
• Experience in warehouse or distribution center operations;
• Interviewing and interrogation experience is desired; Wicklander-Zulawski certification is a plus;
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in performance-based management, action- and results-oriented approaches, project management, and effective problem-solving.

This role is critical to protecting clients against sophisticated cyber threats, coordinating critical incident responses, and enhancing detection capabilities through continuous improvement and collaboration.

• Conduct deep-dive analyses of complex incidents to identify root causes and propose effective mitigation strategies.

• Manage high-severity incidents, escalate to expert teams when necessary, and coordinate mitigation and recovery efforts.

• Create and fine-tune detection signatures, rules, and behavioral profiles to stay ahead of emerging threats.

• Support Tier 1 analysts and clients with expert guidance on complex cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

• Evaluate and update security policies to align with industry best practices and maintain a strong security posture.

• Deliver ongoing training to technical teams, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration across departments.

• Leverage threat intelligence to enhance early detection and response capabilities, staying one step ahead of potential threats.

• Work closely with risk, compliance, and technical support teams to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication.

• Prepare clear and concise incident reports for decision-makers, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure.

Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.

Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices, including TCP/IP and malicious traffic detection.

Experience with SIEM tools (IBM QRadar, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronicle), EDR tools (MS Defender, Symantec, CrowdStrike Falcon), and network components and operations.

Familiarity with operating systems and basic scripting, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, or related field, with industry certifications (not mandatory but valued): AZ-500, SC-100, SC-200, CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, ECIH, CySA, CISA, CompTIA Security+, Network+.

Develop pro-active programs that protect the Company's assets by reducing and preventing any type of Company loss.Maintain a safe working environment in Stores.Thorough use of Exception Based Reporting software to mitigate risk.Initiate and coordinate internal theft investigations and successfully conclude.Develop and execute proper case management.Create strong Loss Prevention Awareness among all Associates.Help foster a culture of honesty through positive communications and messaging.Work closely with Sales Audit to develop policies and procedures to better detect, report and resolve internal theft events.Work closely with Store Operations to train and develop Store, District and Regional Directors in all areas of Loss Prevention.Liaise with local Law Enforcement partners and peer Security Departments in the pursuit of internal and external case resolution.Build and maintain good relationships with all levels of Retail Store Operations, Distribution, Accounts Payable, Sales Audit, Internal Audit, IT, Human Resources, Construction, Inventory Control, and other departments.You’ll Need to Have :

Must have a working knowledge of security equipment, policies and procedures.Minimum 7 years general retail Loss Prevention experience with at least 2 years in multi-store leadership experience – ideally across multiple European countries.Minimum 7 years experience in Interview and Interrogation techniques with full knowledge of all applicable laws.Certified in Wicklander-Zulawski interview and interrogation techniques.Moderate-High travel required.We’d Love to See :
