Type: Temporary position - 6 months

Purpose of the Job

Manage all financial aspects of a project such as accounting, reporting, cost control, and budgeting. Be well integrated into the project team and support all work package owners. Ensure compliance with FI’s and Alstom RAM.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy of actuals and Estimate To Complete data at the project level.
  • Manage the economic and financial aspects of the project, following company procedures and managing risks and opportunities to optimize financial targets.
  • Support the Project Manager and team in financial controlling and management.
  • Act as the economic and financial advisor to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare periodic project reviews with relevant financial analysis.
  • Control and optimize project results through close collaboration with project owners and subsystem managers.
  • Challenge the Estimate to Complete to maximize project margin.
  • Ensure timely customer invoicing and active follow-up on payments.
  • Manage cash flow and implement cash improvement actions, promoting a cash culture.
  • Manage project bonds and hedging to limit exposure.
  • Provide all financial reporting to relevant units and sectors.
  • Review and analyze balance sheet items linked to the project.
  • Handle claims administration and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Participate in project steering and risk analysis meetings, contributing to financial and contractual decision-making.
Competencies
  • Finance or Accounting degree
  • Up to 2 years experience in project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, or work package controlling
  • Interest in technical projects and products
  • Good business knowledge and proficiency in Excel and SAP (PS and FI modules)
  • High level of English; French is a plus
  • Good communication skills and strong team spirit
  • Excellent analytical skills and change management capabilities

  • Responsible for month-end and year-end closing activities: review of accounting, intercompany account reconciliations, reconciliation of Spanish GAAP books to IFRS, contributing to the Group's financial consolidation process to ensure accurate and timely reporting

  • Responsible for supervising local taxes filing as per the statutory requirements and ensure timely submission. Manage overall financial reporting requirements related to taxes both internally or externally
  • Be the liaison with local tax authorities in connection with external accounting and tax consultants
  • Responsible for all data collection related to overall reporting requirements for the local legal entities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for finance processes

Perfil del candidato

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance and a recognized accounting qualification
  • At least 5 years of experience, ideally within an energy, utility, industrial company or similar industry
  • Big 4 ideally
  • Profiles with relevant industry experience will also be considered
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in Spanish GAAP, IFRS, consolidation and tax
  • Experience with SAP management
