Job description As an Experienced Software Architect, you will take on a central role in designing and implementing software architectures that align with business goals. Your missions Design and implement end-to-end software solutions aligned with business requirements and best practices. In your role, you will…

  • Take ownership of software architecture in Swiss Re's B2B Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape
  • Design and drive the landscape's transformation to improve resiliency, automation, and standardisation of B2B IAM services

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between (EUR 60.000) and (EUR 100.000) (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers :

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant's own profile including education / qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

  1. Designing tomorrow's architecture: You'll be the brains behind the analysis and design of software architectures that will define the future of our solutions. Your approach will be crucial to ensure that our solutions not only work, but excel.
  2. Orchestrating product consistency: You will be responsible for ensuring consistency and alignment of project deliverables with the product roadmap. Your vision will be essential to stay on track and meet our most ambitious goals.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for professionals with a degree in Computer Engineering, Software, or related careers . Experience in software systems architecture and design patterns . Advanced knowledge and experience in C# / C++, React, SQL Server . Ability to lead the design of complex systems , ensuring the quality and integration of different software components. Experience in agile development methodologies and continuous integration practices , including unit and integration testing.

We will positively value previous experience in:

  • Public Transport IT Systems.
  • Embedded Linux (scripting, cross-compiling, virtualization/containers, low-level debugging).
  • Design of mixed architectures (back-end, front-end, edge computing).

About our client :

Our client is building the digital backbone of the electric and shared mobility revolution. Their platform powers EV charging infrastructure and seamlessly integrates with multimodal transport services. As the demand for cleaner, smarter transport grows, so does the need for a robust backend infrastructure. They are currently looking for a Software Architect – Senior Developer who combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills. This person will take ownership of complex backend systems, help define the technical direction of the platform, and mentor a growing team of developers.

The development team is expanding, and they are now seeking a Software Architect to lead and shape their backend systems.


What you’ll do:

As a key technical leader shaping their Charge Point Management Platform, you’ll drive large-scale initiatives from architecture to deployment. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, lead developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure backend systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable. They operate in an Agile (Scrum) environment, moving fast but thoughtfully, prioritizing clean and sustainable code over quick fixes.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5-8+ years of software development experience, with a strong backend focus
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience
  • Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring and architectural decision-making
  • Deep knowledge of Python and Django, with experience developing APIs and scalable platforms
  • Excellent communication skills: capable of explaining, challenging, and leading teams
  • Based in Spain and fluent in English
