Senior Front-end Engineer
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain the FE codebase: Creating best-in-class user flows and integrating with a headless CMS, feature-flags and central API.
- Develop Reusable Components: Ensure separation of concerns by creating standardized, modular components.
- Implement Robust Testing: Write comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests to guarantee quality and stability.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with UX designers, backend teams, and other digital organizations to deliver cohesive eCommerce solutions.
- Deploy and Enhance eCommerce Solutions: Build and deploy new capabilities and market-specific customizations while continuously improving existing products.
- Contribute to Product Strategy: Participate in defining new product requirements alongside Developers, Product Owners, and Solution Architects in a digital environment.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in building web applications with React, Next.Js, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Expertise in responsive design and modular architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Web development principles, lifecycle processes, and modern web frameworks.
- It would be nice to have experience with Angular, and the Spartacus Composable Storefront Framework is useful, even though it is not the primary focus.
- Experience with SAP e-commerce, SAP Hybris, or SAP Commerce Cloud, alongside integration with other systems, would be beneficial.

We’re looking for an experienced UX Design Lead to join a global organisation driving large-scale digital transformation. This is a hybrid position based in Barcelona, offering the opportunity to lead and shape innovative user experiences that impact millions worldwide.
About the Role
As UX Design Lead, you’ll balance hands-on design leadership (around 60%) with team management and mentorship (around 40%). You’ll guide a talented UX team in delivering high-quality, user-centered digital experiences, while still being directly involved in strategy, research, and design execution.
This is an ideal role for a designer who enjoys both creating and coaching, with the scope to influence design direction across multiple digital products and platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and contribute to the full UX design process - from discovery and user research through prototyping and delivery.
- Define and communicate design vision, principles, and best practices across teams and stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor UX/UI designers, providing feedback, guidance, and career support.
- Collaborate closely with product, development, and business teams to ensure design excellence and consistency.
- Champion accessibility, usability, and evidence-based design across all digital initiatives.
- Help evolve and maintain a scalable design system and design standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design, including leadership or management experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work across complex digital products.
- Excellent command of tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Deep understanding of user research, interaction design, and usability principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in agile or cross-functional product teams.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience building and maintaining design systems.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience leading distributed or international design teams.
