What you will be doing- You will be on a development pathway to grow into the role of Graduate Electrical Engineer and participate in the following:
- Assist the Test Manager in technical discussions with the customer during the Negotiation Phase, up to in-flight operations of the Space System.
- Assist the Test Manager in requirement assessment and risk identification.
- Collaborate in requirement assessment to define the EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) architecture. Provide technical supervision of the EGSE development and participate in the EGSE validation test campaign.
- Support the Technical Manager for technical issue resolution in collaboration with experts under quality and programmatic rules.
- Prepare Validation documentation: Verification Control Document, Test Plan, detailed Test Procedures (Electrical & Functional, Environmental, EMC, etc.) to support design and manufacturing robustness across project milestones (Requirement Review, Preliminary and Architecture Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Test Review Board).
- Participate in coding of test sequences (based on Python or other languages) to maximize test coverage and validate design integrity on engineering models or specific test setups.
- Execute integration, qualification and acceptance test campaigns for corresponding models, including development of jigs and tooling for vibration and thermal fixtures.
- Prepare test reports and test as-run information with relevant campaign details.
- Monitor deviations, evolutions and discrepancies of measured parameters during the project’s recurrent phase.
- Use SAP and Python (among other languages such as C++, C#). Your development pathway will include at least one rotational placement to support your growth into the position of Graduate Electrical Engineer.
- A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
- Recently graduated or first professional experience in engineering or a science discipline
- Ability to use generic laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication in English

Airbus UpNext Spain has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to contribute to the evaluation of an innovative more electric architecture with the aim to provide aircraft non propulsive energy (NPE).
The System Simulation Engineerposition is within the Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain (Getafe).
This job comes with a limited contract linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator - end of December 2027.
Starting date - ASAP.
Mission
The demonstrator will integrate complex systems including energy storage, electrical power generation, electrical distribution and conversion, fuel storage and distribution, pneumatic systems, thermal systems and control and monitoring systems within a ground test facility. Those systems will include novel technologies for aviation, and will be integrated in a new system architecture with new operational constraints.
The role of the System Simulation Engineer will be to contribute to the multi-physics system simulations development in different domains (turbomachinery, electrical, thermal, fluid mechanical, etc)
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Understand simulation needs for the project
Contribute to the simulation model management strategy, including model validation, as part of the overall project V&V plan
Drive the implementation of simulation tools and modelling standards
Ensure model compatibility with real time SW development strategy
Contribute to the dynamic model development cycle

What you bring:
At least 3 years’ experience in complex system dynamic simulation
High expertise in the usage and exploitation of simulation software (i.e. Matlab/Simulink/Simscape, Amesim, Dymola,…) oriented to electrical systems and power electronics.

Knowledge on Real Time systems and SW generation and rapid control prototyping

The role of the Control System Engineer will be to contribute to the development of the architecture, specification, design and V&V strategy of the equipment and components (including software) associated with the Control Systems required for the demonstrator systems.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Support to the Control system specification, development of detailed architecture, equipment and component selection
Support to the Control system software specification, design, implementation, validation and verification
Support to the Control system integration test bench specification, design, implementation, and validation which will be used for the Control System hardware and software design validation and verification activities
Support to the Control system integration and ground test verification activities required for a multi-system test bench.
The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, so being flexible is important.

Proven background on Electrical and Control & Monitoring systems design and integration
Experience in supplier management activities
Master degree in Engineering
